This is the first Pony Stallion Parade of it’s kind and is hoped to include a broad selection of all Pony Stallions, Arab, Connemara, Cob, Thoroughbred, Welsh and Part Bred Stallions.
The Parade will be held in Duffy’s Equestrian Centre on Sunday 9th April at 3pm and will be opened by Alison Corbally, Director of Breeding and Programmes at Horse Sport Ireland. Ms Corbally will also give a presentation on successful pony breeding of the “Irish Pony” for the future in all disciplines.
The idea behind this Pony Stallion Parade came from Sharon Walsh, Pine View Pony Stud, Tubbercurry, Sligo. Together with Michael Flanagan, they have organised this event to hopefully heighten the profile of “Our Irish Pony”.
Each Pony Stallion will be required to walk and trot. Loose jumping is also available but not compulsory.
This event is supported by the Connemara Pony Breeding Society, The Irish Pony Society, The Northwest Irish Association of The Welsh Pony and Cob Society and Horse Sport Ireland. Representation from each body will be present on the day.
The objective of this parade is to showcase a wide selection of top quality show and performance Pony Stallions that are available nationally.
It is a fundraiser for the RDA. The entry fee is €50 per Pony Stallion. Closing date is Wednesday 5th April. No late entries.
When Submitting your entry fee please include the following information on each Pony Stallion.
